Overview

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating product features, and contributing to a positive shopping experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with retail sales experience or those eager to develop their skills in a dynamic environment. Bilingual abilities and prior supervisory experience are a plus, but not required. The Sales Associate will play a vital role in maintaining store presentation, assisting customers, and supporting sales growth.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
• Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
• Upsell products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays
• Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment and merchandising techniques
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Assist with cashiering duties including processing payments accurately using retail math skills
• Support store cleanliness and organization through regular stocking and cleaning tasks
• Perform basic math calculations for transactions, discounts, and pricing adjustments
• Supervise or mentor new team members when applicable, ensuring store policies are followed Skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Experience in retail sales, including upselling and product demonstrations
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory management techniques
• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone
• Supervising experience is a plus for leadership roles within the team
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and stock calculations
• Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly demeanor
• Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is beneficial but not mandatory Job Type: Part-time Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
