As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for showcasing and selling vehicles to potential customers, ensuring a positive and satisfying buying experience. This role involves understanding customer needs, providing product knowledge, and effectively closing sales. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of automotive features and specifications, and the ability to build and maintain customer relationships. Responsibilities: * Customer Interaction: Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner. * Understand customer preferences and requirements through effective questioning and active listening. * Provide accurate and comprehensive information about vehicles, features, and pricing. * Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the latest automotive trends, models, and features. * Demonstrate a deep understanding of the vehicles, including specifications, performance, safety features, and technology. * Sales Process: Guide customers through the sales process, from initial inquiry to test drives and closing the deal. * Negotiate terms and conditions with customers to reach a mutually beneficial agreement. * Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals. * Follow up with customers after the sale to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns. * Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently, including sales contracts. * Coordinate with the dealership's administrative staff to ensure smooth and timely processing of sales transactions. * Stay Compliant: Stay informed about and adhere to dealership policies, industry regulations, and ethical sales practices. * Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to vehicle sales. * Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the sales team, as well as dealership staff, to provide a seamless customer experience. * Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay updated on product knowledge and sales techniques. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent; some college education is a plus. * Proven experience in automotive sales preferred; however, will train. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Strong negotiation and closing skills. * Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic sales environment. * Clean (no accidents/tickets) and valid NYS driver's license.
