Job Summary Ocean Management is a fast-growing property management company specializing in multifamily propertys across NJ. We are taking over management of a 200-unit multifamily in Trenton and are seeking a motivated Leasing Agent to join our on-site team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management and customer service, with a proven ability to effectively manage tenant relations and lease agreements. This role requires excellent communication skills, negotiation abilities, and a thorough understanding of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for showcasing properties, managing applications, and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements. Responsibilities * Greet and tour prospective tenants, highlighting unit features and community amenities. * Handle phone and online leasing inquiries promptly and professionally. * Process rental applications, verify references, and prepare lease agreements. * Assist with move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals. * Maintain accurate leasing and occupancy records in AppFolio * Support the Property Manager with resident relations and administrative tasks. * Help coordinate marketing efforts, including online listings and community events. Qualifications * 1-2 years of leasing (multifamily a plus). * Strong communication and sales skills -- comfortable talking with people. * Basic computer proficiency; AppFolio experience helpful but not required. * Organized, reliable, and professional. * Ability to work on-site daily in Trenton, NJ. Compensation * Salary: $42,000 - $55,000 base, plus leasing commissions/bonuses per signed lease. * Paid time off * Career growth potential with a growing company.
