We 're hiring an In-Home Flooring Consultant in Raleigh. This is not a pressure sales role. And it's not a short-term hustle. This role is best suited for someone who naturally thinks in systems. If you enjoy improving processes, building repeatable workflows, and stepping back to see how everything connects, you'll thrive here. If you prefer loosely defined roles or winging it, this won't be a fit. Role: In-Home Flooring Consultant Location: Raleigh, NC Compensation: $36K Base + quality-based commission What you 'll do * Meet homeowners at pre-scheduled appointments * Drive a company van (mobile showroom) to appointments and job sites * Ask structured, thoughtful questions * Measure spaces and document details accurately * Present approved flooring options * Coordinate with our technical team to ensure accuracy What you will not do * Design installs on the fly * Guess technical answers * Pressure homeowners into decisions This role is a great fit if you * Appreciate structure and clear expectations * Follow processes and standards * Build trust without forcing a close * Are looking for a long-term role, not a quick commission No flooring experience required, but this is not an entry-level mindset role. We're looking for someone who can step into homeowners' spaces confidently, follow a structured process, and represent our brand professionally. Flooring knowledge will be taught. Execution, judgment, and communication will not. Training is provided, and ongoing education is a core expectation, regardless of experience. We invest in our people, refine our systems, and expect everyone on the team to keep improving. You 'll be successful in this role if you: * Communicate clearly and ask thoughtful, structured questions * Can follow a defined sales and documentation process without shortcuts * Are comfortable measuring rooms, documenting details, and taking accurate photos * Can explain options clearly without guessing or overselling * Build trust with homeowners through professionalism and consistency * Take feedback seriously and improve quickly This role is built for someone who enjoys working as part of a team , not a lone-wolf or "eat-what-you-kill" sales style. It's also not a fit if you're looking for a side gig, juggling another job, or prefer to work independently without regular collaboration. We work closely together, spend time in the office, and stay aligned as a team. If you're looking for something part-time, fully remote, or loosely connected, this won't be the right environment.
