Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating product knowledge, and contributing to a positive shopping experience. This role involves engaging with customers, assisting with product selections, and supporting store operations to ensure smooth daily functions. Bilingual skills are a plus, and previous retail or grocery store experience is preferred. The Sales Associate will play a key role in driving sales through effective upselling and merchandising strategies while maintaining a welcoming environment for all shoppers. Responsibilities * Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs * Operate POS systems efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties * Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits * Upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities * Maintain attractive merchandise displays and ensure proper merchandising standards * Stock shelves, organize products, and manage inventory levels through stocking activities * Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly * Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries * Assist in maintaining store cleanliness and organization throughout the shift * Supervise or assist in supervising team members when needed, ensuring smooth store operations Experience * Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments * Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math calculations * Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies is advantageous * Supervising experience is a plus but not required * Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases * Strong communication skills, basic math skills, and excellent customer service orientation are essential for success in this role Job Type: Full-time Pay: $8.50 - $10.00 per hour Work Location: In person
