Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Temporary Leasing Agent to join our property management team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in leasing, property management, and customer service within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, knowledge of fair housing regulations, and the ability to effectively communicate with prospective tenants. This position is temporary but provides valuable exposure to real estate operations and client relations. MUST HAVE LIHTC experience and travel between Vigo and Parke Counties on alternating days. Responsibilities * Greet prospective tenants and conduct property tours, showcasing available units and amenities * Manage leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions with professionalism and courtesy * Process rental applications, verify tenant information, and coordinate background checks including criminal and credit screenings * Prepare and review lease agreements, contracts, and related legal documents ensuring compliance with Fair Housing laws and Section 8 regulations * Utilize property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar platforms for data entry, record keeping, and reporting * Maintain organized filing systems for tenant records, lease documents, and correspondence * Assist with marketing efforts including upselling available units and promoting property features to prospective tenants * Support property maintenance coordination by communicating tenant requests and scheduling repairs as needed * Ensure adherence to LIHTC guidelines and other affordable housing programs' requirements * Handle conflict management situations professionally while maintaining excellent customer service standards Skills * Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 housing programs, and legal administrative processes * Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or comparable systems (CRM experience preferred) * Experience in real estate administrative tasks including data entry, filing, contracts management, and office procedures * Excellent customer service skills with effective phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities * Demonstrated sales skills with the ability to upsell units while maintaining compliance with legal standards * Familiarity with property leasing processes, property management operations, facilities management, and maintenance coordination * Effective negotiation skills for lease terms and contract agreements * Administrative experience in office environments with proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) is preferred * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and legal documentation This role offers a comprehensive experience in property leasing operations within a professional setting. Pay: $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 45.0 per week Work Location: In person
