Pass It On is an upscale thrift shop that offers new and gently used women's clothing, shoes, and accessories at fabulously low prices. Pass It On has two locations - Raleigh and Fuquay-Varina - and features a large variety of designer clothing in excellent condition at affordable prices. Ninety cents from every dollar of Pass It On's merchandise is donated and supports InterAct's programs and services. The Retail Sales Associate helps create a welcoming, positive shopping experience for customers, supports donations and sales operations, and promotes InterAct's mission through excellent service. This position is for the Fuquay-Varina location Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales * Provide outstanding customer service with professionalism and a positive attitude. * Assist customers with purchases, returns, and inquiries. * Promote sales, store events, and agency initiatives. * Support and direct store volunteers during shifts. Store Operations * Open and close the store as scheduled. * Operate the computer and POS system accurately. * Reconcile daily cash receipts, prepare deposits, and submit daily sales reports. * Maintain stock levels for supplies and communicate purchase needs to the Store Manager. * Assist with annual inventory counts and reporting. Donation & Merchandising * Receive, record, and process donations from individuals, organizations, and vendors. * Correctly follow procedures for handling in-kind and monetary donations. * Sort, clean, price, and display merchandise on the sales floor. * Maintain organized, clean, and visually appealing sales, donation, and storage areas. * Communicate with staff regarding program-related donations. Safety & Compliance * Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures. * Report any concerns to the Store Manager promptly. * Complete required agency onboarding and participate in ongoing training. Collaboration & Teamwork * Work cooperatively with staff, volunteers, and program teams. * Assist with planning and promoting sales and store events. * Represent InterAct positively in all customer and community interactions. * Perform other duties as assigned to support thrift store operations. * Commitment to supporting violence-free relationships and ending the cycle of violence in the community. * High school diploma required. * Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment. * Basic math skills and proficiency with cash handling. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel between store locations. * Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
