Full description of the position
General Description: The company is looking for a personable and detailed person with an interest in growth in the community association management field to fill its Liaison - Managed Property Governance position. This specialist is responsible for assisting in the oversite and administration of various aspects of Association governance in connection with the operation of a portfolio of managed resort-oriented properties and timeshare-based clubs. The focus of the position will be to ensure consistent administration in accordance with applicable governing documents, company policies and procedures, and industry best practices. The individual holding this position will also act as an operations liaison for Resort Managers, and Association Boards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Attend Association Board and Owners meetings for designated managed properties and clubs. * Responsible for providing oversight for adherence to applicable governing documents, policies and procedures and industry's best practices. * Proactively assist in identifying potential sensitive and complex issues needing additional legal guidance. * Facilitate owner meeting notice process, including compiling of presentation of documents, and the printing and mailing of materials. * Manage Board of Director elections and other voting procedures for designated properties and clubs. * Serve as a liaison with service providers for on-line voting and other procedures. * Identify opportunities to enhance and standardize Board and Owner communications. * Review and provide feedback for meeting minutes and board packages for assigned properties and clubs. * Research governing documents and other applicable resources as necessary to respond to internal requests for information relating to specific operational or governance issues. * Provides additional corporate liaison support with the on-property resort managers and boards for various associations and clubs. * Handle various special projects as identified from time to time. * Assist with the editing of newsletters and other publications. * Participate in the preparation of responses for Request for Proposals from potential clients. * Perform other job duties as assigned. Essential Skills/Abilities: * Must be knowledgeable in a wide range of areas of property management, including but not limited to understanding governing documents, industry practices and resort operations. * Must have the ability to attend Board and Owners meetings for all resorts and clubs across the US and potentially internationally. * Must be able to demonstrate the ability to think creatively and identify opportunities for the improvement and enhancement of various programs. * Must represent the organization with a high level of professionalism and exhibit superior professional leadership, competency, and integrity. * Must show an ability to take initiative and be able to work independently and exercise excellent judgment when performing job functions. * Must be detail oriented, demonstrate a high-level accuracy, and have outstanding organizational, planning, and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. * Must have the ability to effectively organize materials, set priorities, and provide timely feedback and follow-up in a fast-paced environment. * Must be receptive to receiving instructions and be able to follow directions. * Must exhibit excellent interpersonal skills. * Must exhibit flexibility and willingness to work closely with various management teams. * Must establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with co-workers, Resort Managers and Association Board Members. * Must possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills and the ability to effectively lead and moderate group discussions with different viewpoints. * Must be dependable and punctual. * Must be able to travel to resorts periodically to maintain and enhance relationships Qualifications: * Minimum of five years of related industry experience * Timeshare operational experience/knowledge is desirable * Association administration & governance experience a plus * Schedule: * 8+ hours daily * M-F, with some weekends * Work Location: Las Vegas; Office (In-person) Job Type: Full-time Pay: Up to $60,000.00 per year Benefits: * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Experience: * HOA Board Election: 5 years (Required) Location: * Las Vegas, NV 89119 (Required) Willingness to travel: * 25% (Preferred) Work Location: In personGetaways Resort Management
