Annual salary $40,000 - Plus commission Maintain customer satisfaction through effective and timely communication with clients and staff. A complete understanding of the Catering Works product and how it benefits the client is required for this position. SPECIFIC TASKS WHICH SUPPORT OBJECTIVES: Sales Representative: * Answer and receive phone calls for the Sales department, as well as take leads from other sources * Provide exceptional customer service and be professional and courteous over the telephone and when meeting with clients * Determining client needs, qualifying clients, setting up and meeting clients and generating sales proposals, educating clients on products and services that meet their needs * Data processing of event proposals and contracts using the CaterWorks program, ensuring accuracy and efficiency of the sales process * Closer--ensuring contracts and agreements are signed, deposits are received and sales are contracted early in the proposal process * Recognize and act on opportunities to increase sales by upselling on weddings and special events with flowers, desserts, rentals, etc. * Maintain positive relations with special event venues and industry partners * Provide an excellent sales and planning experience for each client for every event and understand the value of referrals and repeat business as a result Special Event Planning & Coordination Planning aspects of special events includes, but not limited to following tasks (as needed): * Menu and Beverage (nonalcoholic and alcoholic) selection, cake design and tastings * Rental selection and design * Preevent walkthrough to prepare layout and detail timeline for event * Handle deposit and balance payments and signed contracts. * Accurately finalize all event details and communicate with all parties involved--client, production team, vendors, service providers and venue * Personally visit your special events, ensure what was promised is delivered and coordinate with Production Manager and Event Manager to make the event a success * Follow up with clients after events to gain knowledge and feedback, review production folder and follow up accordingly with client and CW team as needed. Team Member: * Weekly Production Meeting to review event information with all production departments * Event briefings with assigned Event Managers * Monthly Sales Meeting to review current Sales statistics, current marketing endeavors, collaborate with the team and share new menus, trends and tools for success * Attend and represent CW at marketing events and venue Open Houses * Attend Catering Works Tasting Nights SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED * Exceptional Customer Service and communication skills * Sales experience relevant to hospitality industry * Computer proficiency, Microsoft Suite * Multitasking and Organizational * Ability to take direction, but also selfstarter able to work, unsupervised, with client * Ability to take an event vision to reality * Ability to listen and respond to match the needs of the customer About The Catering Works Inc When only the Works will do!
