Role Overview We're hiring a Commercial Lines Account Manager to support and retain an existing commercial book of business. You'll act as a trusted advisor to business clients -- handling day-to-day service requests, collaborating with producers, and ensuring policies stay accurate and up-to-date. Success in this role comes from organization, strong communication, and a genuine desire to help clients protect their businesses. Key Responsibilities * Manage an assigned portfolio of commercial clients and maintain regular communication with decision-makers. * Handle service workflows including policy changes, COIs, renewal preparation, loss history reviews, and coverage updates. * Partner with producers and carriers to gather competitive quotes and secure timely, accurate renewals. * Assist clients by reviewing coverage needs, identifying gaps, and offering solutions aligned with business goals. * Coordinate with carriers on pricing, underwriting questions, timelines, and binding requirements. * Track account activity and retention metrics to support agency growth and performance goals. * Maintain accurate documentation and follow compliance procedures across agency and carrier systems. Ideal Background * 5+ years of experience in commercial property & casualty insurance (account management or production). * Texas Property & Casualty license (or ability to quickly obtain). * Solid understanding of commercial coverages, underwriting considerations, and carrier appetite. * Comfort with technology, including agency software, document management systems, and Microsoft tools. * Ability to juggle multiple tasks, follow through on commitments, and stay ahead of deadlines. * Strong interpersonal and written communication skills -- service-oriented mindset required. * College coursework or degree preferred; insurance designations (CISR, CIC, etc.) are highly valued.
