Overview We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Full Time Leasing Assistant to join our property management team at our Fenton, MO location. Some initial training would be at our Arnold, MO location. This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to be the first point of contact for prospective residents, assist with leasing operations, and support property management functions. This position is vital in ensuring smooth leasing activities, fostering positive resident relationships, and maintaining compliance with Fair Housing regulations. Duties * Greet prospective residents warmly and provide detailed tours of available properties, highlighting key features and amenities to generate interest and facilitate leasing decisions. * Assist with the application process by collecting deposits, necessary documentation and verifying information. * Manage leasing paperwork including contracts, lease agreements, and renewal documents with accuracy and attention to detail. * Utilize Appfolio and other property management software to input data, update resident records, track leasing activities, and generate reports. * Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule property inspections and facilitate timely repairs or upgrades that enhance resident satisfaction. * Support compliance efforts by staying informed about Fair Housing laws and Landlord-Tenant law to ensure all leasing practices adhere to legal standards. * Handle conflict management professionally by addressing resident concerns promptly and diplomatically while maintaining positive relationships. * Upsell available units or services to prospective tenants through effective sales techniques while respecting their needs and preferences. * Maintain organized filing systems for lease documents, legal records, and correspondence; ensure confidentiality at all times. * Assist with data entry tasks such as updating resident information and preparing reports for management review. * Provide excellent customer service via phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or following up with prospects or residents. * Support property leasing initiatives through active engagement in marketing efforts and community events when applicable. Qualifications * Proven experience in property management administrative roles or real estate administrative experience is highly desirable. However, not required, can train. * Familiarity Fair Housing regulations and Landlord-Tenant law ensures compliance knowledge. However, not required, can train. * Proficiency in basic software is preferred. (Excel, Word, Outlook) * Strong understanding of legal contracts related to leasing agreements and renewals. * Excellent customer service skills paired with effective conflict management abilities. * Demonstrated ability in negotiation and upselling techniques to maximize occupancy rates. * Office experience involving data entry, filing systems, and administrative support is essential. * Knowledge of property maintenance procedures or facilities management adds value to the role. * Exceptional phone etiquette combined with professional communication skills--both written and verbal--is required. * Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * Must be interested in long term employment. * Join us as a Full Time Leasing Assistant where your enthusiasm fuels community growth! * Hourly pay based on experience.
