Salesperson - Industrial Fabrication Industry: Steel Platework Fabrication / Heavy Industrial Manufacturing Compensation: Target range $100,000-$110,000 base (plus incentive potential) Position Summary The Salesperson is responsible for developing and managing customer relationships within heavy industrial markets , including power generation, petrochemical, steel mills, and related sectors. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, promoting custom fabrication capabilities, and driving profitable sales of complex steel platework solutions. Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective industrial customers * Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and direct outreach * Review customer specifications, drawings, and project requirements in coordination with estimating and production teams * Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and technical sales presentations * Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules in alignment with company objectives * Serve as the primary customer contact throughout the sales cycle--from initial inquiry through project completion * Monitor project progress and customer satisfaction and address concerns to support repeat business and long-term partnerships * Track sales activity, forecasts, and customer interactions using internal systems * Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer capital project plans Qualifications & Experience * 3 -5+ years of sales experience in industrial fabrication, steel platework (preferred), or structural steel * Strong understanding of fabricated steel products, platework, welding processes, and industrial standards (preferred) * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications * Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills * Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously * Willingness to travel as needed to support customers and business development efforts * Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Tekla PowerFab experience is a plus Preferred Attributes * Experience selling into power generation, petrochemical, steel mills, or similar heavy industrial sectors * Technical or engineering background is a plus * Results-driven mindset with a focus on long-term customer relationships What the Company Offers * Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives * Stable backlog of complex, high-value industrial fabrication projects * Strong internal support from estimating, engineering, and production teams * Collaborative, no-nonsense culture with long-term employee retention If you have the required qualifications, APPLY TODAY!
