About Us: We're a family-owned, industry-leading building materials supplier with over 50 years of excellence serving contractors, designers, and builders. Known for our customer service and product quality, we're expanding our influence across the architectural design, builder and contractor markets--and we're looking for a driven professional to help lead that growth. Job Summary: The Specification/Business Development is focused on increasing product specification and driving new business development. This position targets the design/architectural community to get our products specified early in the project pipeline, while also developing and locating new opportunities in the General Contractor, Kitchen & Bath and Builder segments. Working within our Customer Service Hubs and in conjunction with our Customer Solutions Managers you will serve as both a brand ambassador and market influencer--leveraging relationships, education, and strategy to expand our reach and revenue. Key Responsibilities: Specification & Design Channel Development * Build and nurture strong relationships with architects, interior designers, and specifiers to influence product selection and secure specifications. * Conduct lunch-and-learns, product knowledge sessions, and CEU presentations. * Stay current on design trends, project pipelines, and material standards. * Track and follow projects from concept through completion to ensure conversion from spec to sale. * Secure primary positioning of sample towers, design and wall boards representing Web-Don products * Maintain a position of influence and knowledge, position yourself as a "go-to" resource. Builder & Kitchen & Bath Market Development * Identify and engage new business opportunities within the builder, remodeler, and kitchen & bath dealer channels. * Drive territory growth by partnering with the area Customer Solutions Manager's to expand accounts, uncovering new leads, and assist closing high-value projects. * Support marketing initiatives, networking events and trade show presence within these verticals. Relationship & Territory Management * Maintain a consistent presence in the market through in-person visits, networking events, and association involvement. * Maintain and update design boards, sample towers in your market territory * Manage CRM activity and reporting for project tracking, lead generation, and sales progress. * Connect the dots from influence to close * Qualify, document and generate active leads through Plan Hub * Partner with Customer Solutions Managers and Hub Managers to develop territory-specific strategies for meeting and exceeding sales targets. * Build Pipeline by developing referral relationships with GC's, Design Firms, Builders, Business owners in local communities. * Collaborate for results, working with our Sales, Marketing & Operations teams to ensure seamless execution from influence to customer for life. * Drive accountability with your team, sales performance, KPI, accurate and valid CRM data. Be a contributor to achieve revenue targets Qualifications: * 3+ years of experience in specification sales, business development, or related roles in building materials, K&B, or design channels. * Strong network within the architectural/design and builder community is a plus. * Excellent communication and presentation skills; confident leading meetings and trainings. * Highly self-motivated, organized, and results-driven. * Ability to travel within the assigned territory. * Working knowledge of CRM tools, construction project cycles, and builder/designer decision-making processes.
