Job Title: Leasing Specialist Location: Fort Myers, FL Job Type: Full-Time Job Overview: As a Leasing Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for guests & residents and play a vital role in leasing, retaining residents and problem solving for our properties. You will be responsible for assisting guests and residents and ensuring a seamless leasing process. This role requires excellent communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and a strong understanding of public housing. Key Responsibilities: Customer service : Provide exceptional customer service to prospective and current residents by addressing inquiries, problem solving and answering incoming calls and routes them as needed. Leasing: Public housing knowledge is vital in this role. Foster positive relationships with current residents, address their concerns and requests promptly, collect rent, receive requests for repairs, generate work orders, assist Asst. Property Manager with processing and updating resident files in a timely and proper manner to include annual recertifications, interims, rent calculations, collecting documentation, verification of information and prepare appropriate follow-up paperwork in an efficient manner. Ensure compliance with fair housing laws and company policies. Other responsibilities: Coordinates and communicates on a regular basis with other staff in a professional manner, ensures policies, rules, regulations, and laws are followed, maintains applicant waiting lists and fills openings in a timely manner, enforces the lease, occupancy policy and other rules and regulations, attend staff meetings and performs other duties as assigned.
