Full Job Description Budtenders are sales people with retail experience and product knowledge who make sure every customer is given the time and attention needed to select the proper cannabis products to ensure a great experience. A Budtender at Smyth Cannabis Co. will be responsible for providing smooth and excellent service for our customers. This position will require strong customer engagement skills, understanding of cannabis and a passion for learning/educating others. A Budtender at Smyth Cannabis is: * Comfortable discussing cannabis with a wide range of customers * Able to conduct precise retail transactions and verify customers allotment to ensure they stay under the legal limit for each transaction. * Motivated and energetic * Eager to educate customers on cannabis strains, consumption methods, effects and trends * Able to conduct daily and monthly audits of product inventory * Excellent at interacting with customers face-to-face and by phone * Able to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment * Able to assist on opening/closing of store * Diligent about reporting any violations of state/local laws or policies * Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment * Friendly, organized, and attentive Qualifications/Work Experience * High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience * Retail, cash handling and Point of Sales (POS) experience required * Must possess a valid driver's license or identification and have reliable transportation. * Experience in the cannabis industry desirable, but not required * Ability to work and thrive in a fast paced, high transaction volume, team environment. * Must be 21 years old and pass the criminal background check * Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Proficient computing skills * Innate desire to achieve success and a work ethic to match * Ability to critically think and problem solve without direction * Must adhere to our companies Standard Operating Procedures * Must be able to occasionally lift items up to 50 lbs * Must be able to stand for extended period of time Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 per hour Benefits: * Employee discount Work Location: In person
