Thrift Store Lead - Operations New Beginnings of Central Florida - Clermont, FL Full-Time ABOUT US New Beginnings of Central Florida is a faith-based nonprofit ministry dedicated to serving families and individuals experiencing crisis. Our thrift store is a critical part of that mission--funding homeless diversion, food assistance, transitional and affordable housing, and other essential services that restore dignity and hope in our community. POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a Thrift Store Lead - Operations to support and lead daily operations across all areas of the thrift store, including sales floor, donations, processing, customer service, and team coordination. This role is ideal for someone with at least two years of retail experience and prior management or supervisory experience who is looking for an opportunity to develop, grow, and be promoted within a mission-driven organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Support and lead daily thrift store operations across all departments * Supervise and support staff and volunteers * Ensure smooth workflow between donations, processing, pricing, and merchandising * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment * Provide excellent customer service * Train, coach, and motivate team members * Help meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales and production goals * Uphold the mission and faith-based values of New Beginnings * Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations and organizational needs SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS * Ability to work at least two Saturdays per month * Flexibility to work some evenings, with shifts extending up to 7:00 PM as needed QUALIFICATIONS * High school diploma or equivalent required * Minimum 2 years of retail experience required * Prior management or supervisory experience required * Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Able to lift, move, and handle merchandise weighing 30-40 lbs * Must provide two professional references and one personal reference * Supportive of and aligned with the faith-based mission of New Beginnings WHAT WE OFFER * Opportunities for growth, promotion, and leadership development * A positive, mission-driven work environment * Paid Time Off * Employee discounts * Training and development opportunities * The fulfillment of knowing your work directly supports families and individuals in crisis HOW TO APPLY Submit your resume through Indeed.
