We are looking for you to join our team. About us: Northwest Apartments manages a large portfolio of diverse rental properties and apartment homes, ranging from historical to modern. We pride ourselves on providing our residents with well-appointed residences at a fair market rate. With in-depth knowledge and extensive experience in the Seattle Real Estate market. Northwest Apartments has continued to acquire and manage properties in highly desirable neighborhoods. Currently we own and operate over 2,400 apartment homes in the Seattle area. To join our team, this position centers around leasing in our Seattle Portfolio on Capitol Hill. Position: The Leasing Consultant is the first impression to the resident experience. You are in charge, working independently to set your schedule and select your candidates to take potential residents on a tour of available apartments. You are in charge of showcasing the features of a rental home to help them visualize living there. You are not limited to one building, instead you have an entire portfolio of unique properties to help them choose from, which are geographically close in proximity to each other. The job requires reliability, high energy, and a friendly positive spirit. We require your sales expertise. Leasing experience in a multi-family environment is preferred. Please detail how you have gained your sales success. This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to work for a locally owned, small, family-oriented company. You will be working with your portfolio manager to learn from and to strategize the plan for your success. The Work Schedule Details: 40-hour work week in non-exempt, full-time, hourly position. The work schedule is Tuesday thru Saturday. Business hours are 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Must be flexible to work a different schedule if, at times, it is needed. Wage : Our leasing professionals are compensated with a competitive hourly rate, plus a generous commission structure. . Responsibilities: * Take potential residents on a tour of available apartments to fill vacancies by leasing units. * Generate new leads through various marketing efforts. * Qualify leads, schedule showings, travel to multiple buildings to show units. * Consult with people to help them in selecting their next home. * You are the contact for the new resident to handle move-in with them. * Take pride in your rental properties by attention to unit and curb appeal. * Attend meetings to gain and share knowledge. * Conduct business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other pertaining to apartments. Requirements: * Must have own vehicle with current insurance and driver license required, as position requires travel in the field on a daily basis. * 2 years of Leasing experience, in multifamily properties, preferred. * Proven ability to meet sales goals. * Ability to work both independently and with the team. * Excellent communication skills. * Ability to solve problems and multitask. * Detail-oriented, able to perform various tasks in a timely manner. * Proficient in Microsoft Office and technology applications. Compensation and Benefits: We offer comprehensive compensation and a benefits package, that includes: Wage - $25 hourly. Lease Commissions are paid at $50 per lease for 4 or less, or $100 per lease when 5 or more are achieved in a reporting week. Achieve 20 net leases per month for an extra $500 monthly bonus. Medical and Vision Insurance - first of the month after employed for 60 days. The company has multiple insurance plans and contributes a large amount to the monthly premium. 10k Life Insurance paid by the company. Paid Vacation, accrued upon hire date, at the rate of 1.64 hours of paid vacation time per 40 hours worked. 9 paid Holidays annually. WA State Safe and Sick Time eligible at the rate of 1 hour for every 40 hours worked. 401k with company match offered at 90 days from date of hire.
