Job Purpose: Vibiana is seeking an Event Sales Representative. Candidate will work directly with the Event Director, assist in overseeing the events department. Vibiana is a luxury chef-driven venue, with high service expectations. Duties & Responsibilities: * Prepare detailed event reports, including sales data worksheets, cost projections, and other financial metrics. * Meet and exceed quarterly and yearly financial goals. * Respond to all inquiries, negotiate, and close contracts. * Manage event CRM. * Manage event details from timelines and vendor relations. * Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. * Possess high energy and a desire to be creative. * Outstanding service and sales skills. * Excellent guest relationship management and communications skills. * Account management, market research, event planning and coordination. * Seek and develop relationships with local industries (i.e. corporations, hotels, non-profits, wedding planners, etc). * Prepare proposals and contracts, maintain well-organized event records. * Establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships with industry influencers. * Works closely with the Event Coordinator and Event Manager on operations and event execution. * Off-site and onsite networking with clients to develop and maintain strong business relationships. * Pro-active sales experience and strong social skills. * Knowledge in Microsoft Office, budget tracking, competitive analysis, forecasting, and brand positioning. * At least 2-3 years of experience in event sales and management. Qualifications * Experience in private events as a sales representative. * Attention to detail is vital, as well as the drive to meet and surpass sales goals. * Must have strong management skills as well as the desire to serve as a leader for the team * Sales background is required * Must have operational experience and a desire to work within the hospitality industry. * Preference would be for candidate to have a strong client database and a connection to the LA events market, but not required. * Strong culinary background or knowledge is preferred but not required. Working Conditions and Expectations: * Work schedule may require weekends and holidays, early morning and late evenings. * Shifts will range from 9 - 12 hours * Fast paced, crowded, loud environment. * Must have the stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week. * Always act in a professional manner that represents the restaurant, owners, partners and staff. * Demonstrate teamwork in all areas of the restaurant * Work with a positive attitude in all types of situations * Strong, positive and respectful communication skills * Always act in the best interest of the restaurant, fellow employees and guests. * Create and maintain a positive, safe and productive working environment Physical Requirements: * Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. * Repetitive tasks with few breaks * Be able to work in a standing position for up to 10 hours.
