Apartment Manager Job Brief An Apartment Manager oversees the daily operations of the residential apartment building. We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced apartment manager to join our property management team. The apartment manager's responsibilities include filling vacancies, responding to tenant needs, maintaining the property, managing budget and expenses, and ensuring all necessary policies and procedures are implemented and maintained. The ideal candidate will have a background in property management, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer service mindset. * Responsibilities * Manage and oversee operations, maintenance, administration, and improvement of the apartment complex * Fill vacancies, enforce leases, and maintain and secure premises * Ensure compliance with property management policies and regulations * Address tenant complaints and issues, including emergency issues that may arise * Coordinate with maintenance staff and contractors for repairs and upkeep Qualifications * Proven work experience as an apartment manager or similar role * Experience in real estate or property management * Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with tenants, property owners, maintenance staff, and vendors. * Customer service skills for building relationships with tenants, promptly addressing their needs and complaints, and ensuring their satisfaction with their living conditions. * Understanding of financial and accounting principles to manage budget, collect rent, make cost-effective repairs, and maintain the overall financial health of the property. * Problem-solving skills to quickly and effectively handle any issues that arise, from maintenance problems to disputes between tenants. * Knowledge of property laws and regulations to ensure all property operations comply with local, state, and federal laws, including those regarding evictions and safety compliance. * Strong organization and time management skills to ensure the timely completion of tasks like property inspections, rent collection, and coordination of repairs and maintenance. * Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, demanding environment. * Proficient in property management software * High School Diploma * Experience in USDA and HUD required.
