Force Technology Solutions (Force Tech) is seeking a highly qualified, self- motivated Sales Engineer with 3-5 years of proven success in the corporate AV industry. As a fast-growing, engineering-driven design/build/integration firm specializing in professional audio, video, lighting, broadcast, IT, and control solutions, Force Tech delivers sophisticated systems for mission- critical environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in AV systems, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a track record of partnering with clients and internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that drive results. This role requires a proactive, solutions-oriented professional capable of translating complex technical requirements into clear, compelling proposals, while also supporting the sales cycle from discovery through deployment. Experience in the corporate integration market and a passion for cutting-edge technology are essential to thrive in this fast-paced, client-focused environment. Primary Duties: Developing and pursuing leads. Prospecting with other members of the Sales Team and Engineering Team. Supporting the creation of new systems with engineering software. Maintaining a sales presence with existing Clients. Product demos with Clients. Building quotes, proposals, and detailed scopes of work. Preparing general submittals. Site surveys to gather information for integration conditions. Attending on-site meetings with clients. Interfacing with other departments on behalf of the Sales Team. Assisting other members of the Sales Team in designing systems. Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service. Maintain a high level of communication with all project principals: Project Manager, Project Supervisor, Client, Sales, and horizontal trades. Client Training as necessary. Help with System Commissioning as needed. Seeking familiarity and education regarding new technologies. Other responsibilities as assigned. Occasional marketing and tradeshow initiatives as directed. Secondary Duties: When necessary, this position may be required to provide support in other areas of the company. Force Tech is a growing business and many of the employees fulfill multiple roles. No requested task should be considered beneath any employee when it comes to assisting in the bigger picture of the company. While a Sales Engineer earns commission, it is also expected that their base salary allows them to be a team player and are willing to help others on the team as needed. Preferred Job Qualifications: Experience: Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of proven success in corporate AV sales, solution design, or technical sales engineering. Education: Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Business, Engineering, AV Technology, or related field--or equivalent industry experience. Job Requirements: Work Environment & Location Must be able to work in a hybrid role with a professional, distraction-free home office suitable for video calls. Must also be available to work onsite at the Greenfield office as requested. Schedule & Travel Must be available during standard business hours (typically 7am-5pm) and adaptable to flexible scheduling, including after-hours work or occasional overnight travel. Regular travel to customer sites for in-person meetings is required. Communication & Interpersonal Skills Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable maintaining multiple channels of communication (email, chat, ERP, task lists, client portals, etc.). Self-Management & Professionalism Must be self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal direction, and possess strong time management skills--especially under tight deadlines. A positive attitude, curiosity, and the ability to adapt to evolving priorities are essential. Technical & Software Skills Familiarity with audio, video, lighting, and broadcast (AVLB) systems and components is required. Must have the ability to read construction documents, including floorplans and AV layouts. Should be comfortable with basic math, spelling (English), and possess strong computer skills. Proficiency in G-Suite, Excel, Word, and similar tools is expected. Understanding of communication protocols (especially IP) and mechanical aptitude is required. Pursuit of CTS or CTS-D certification is preferred, with a willingness to maintain certification through renewal. Technical Communication & Documentation Must possess strong technical writing skills with the ability to develop clear, accurate, and detailed scope-of-work (SOW) documents for AVL integration projects. This includes describing system functionality, component usage, infrastructure requirements, and installation methods. Must be able to communicate complex technical concepts in language appropriate for both technical teams and client stakeholders, ensuring alignment and minimizing ambiguity. _ Licensing & Compliance _ Must hold a valid Indiana driver's license, maintain a clean driving record, and have reliable personal transportation. Must be able to pass a background check, driving record screening, and drug test. Compliance with the Force Tech Off-Duty Conduct Policy is required.
