Job Title Solar Door-to-Door Appointment Setter (Experienced Only) About the Role This is strictly for experienced door knockers. Your only job: knock doors, have real conversations, and set qualified solar appointments for a closer. You are not closing deals, you are not being babysat, and you are not here to be "motivated." If you already know how to canvass and want to work independently and get paid like a pro, keep reading. If you're new or need hand-holding, this is not for you. What You Actually Do * Knock residential doors in LA neighborhoods of you choosing. * Start direct, honest conversations with homeowners about going solar and saving on power. * Confirm interest, basic qualification, and set a solid, confirmed appointment for a closer. * Enter the lead details so the closer can run the appointment and get it sold. That's it. You knock and set. The closer sells. Pay Structure (Read This) * Independent contractor (1099), no hourly. * You knock and set; when the deal closes, you get a clean 70/30 split on a 2.8 redline * Translation: this is designed so a strong canvasser will make more than at any other solar company that babysit and underpays. * Paid per closed deal from your appointments - you control your income by the quality and volume of what you set. If you don't understand what a redline and split are, or you've never worked in solar or D2D, this probably isn't the right fit. Who This Is For * You have real door-to-door experience (solar, alarms, pest, roofing, telecom, or similar, LDS Missionary). * You can generate your own momentum - no daily hype meetings, no one calling to wake you up. * You handle rejection, weather, and long days without melting down. * You want freedom, not a manager breathing down your neck, and you're willing to trade that for performance-based pay. Who This Is NOT For * People with no D2D experience. * People who need scripts spoon-fed, daily "motivation," or constant training. * People who are scared to knock alone or in a small crew. Schedule & Support * You choose your hours (afternoons, evenings, and weekends work best). I don't care as long as you generate at least 3 appointments a month you can stay on board. * You knock; we provide the closer and backend to get deals sold. * Basic messaging and talking points provided, but you are expected to already know how to work a door.
