Full description of the position

Major Goals: The primary goal of the Managed Service Consultant is to consistently generate Net New recurring revenue (MRR) by acquiring new customers for managed services. They will be accountable for building, advancing, and closing a pipeline of new logo opportunities, with technology projects positioned strategically to support long-term managed service relationships. Success in this role is measured by the ability to create sustained MRR growth through disciplined prospecting, consultative selling, and effective conversions of prospects into managed services agreements. * What You'll Do * Own the end-to-end sales process for net new business. Includes prospecting, qualification, discovery, finding and recommendations, proposal development, and closing. * Develop and execute a proactive new logo strategy, focused on organizations that need managed services. * Position managed services as the primary offering, with projects used as supporting solutions to recurring revenue. * Conduct consultative discovery with a technical resource to uncover business drivers, operational risk, security gaps, and technology challenges. * Build, manage, and advance a qualified sales pipeline with monthly and quarterly MRR targets. * Collaborate with technical resources to build out solutions that meet customer needs and company standards. * Deliver clear, value-based presentations. * Maintain accurate CRM data, pipeline management, and forecast visibility. * Stay current on managed services trends, cybersecurity risks, and relevant technology solutions. * Essential Activities & Time Allocation * Sales Pipeline Management & Revenue Generation (75%) * Prospect and source net new logo opportunities through outbound activity, referrals, leads, events, and targeted campaigns. * Facilitate the sales process * Position managed services as the core solution and align projects to long-term recurring value. * Build and advance opportunities through defined sales stages. * Prepare and present findings and recommendations. * Close managed services agreements * Maintain consistent pipeline activity aligned with MRR targets. * Administrative Reporting & Process Discipline (20%) * Maintain accurate and complete CRM records for all activity and opportunities. * Provide weekly pipeline updates and forecasts. * Follow defined sales processes, qualification standards, and approval workflows. * Coordinate internally to ensure clean handoffs to service delivery. * Participate in sales meetings, team huddles, training, one-on-ones, and performance check-ins. * Team Nurturing, Training & Development (5%) * Participate in managed services sales training and enablement. * Share best practices, talk tracks, and lessons learned with peers. * Support informal coaching, role-play, and knowledge sharing * What You Have * 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience in managed services * Hunting mentality * Adapting skillsets to meet changing technology * Juggling multiple tasks with frequent interruptions with little to no notice * Ability to make quick decisions * Why Join Van Ausdall & Farrar? * Base salary + uncapped commission -- earn what you're worth * Industry-leading training and certifications * A diverse portfolio of technology solutions (IT, print, software, managed services) * Strong brand recognition, warm leads, and referral opportunities * Full benefits: health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, unlimited PTO * Monthly engagement events and the opportunity to qualify for our Grimmy Club trip (past destinations include Jamaica and Aruba) * Supportive leadership and a culture built on trust, accountability, and relationships * Ready to Take the Next Step?
