Full description of the position

Overview The Signage Sales Representative is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of client acquisition and onboarding for custom signage projects. This includes prospecting, qualifying leads, conducting site assessments, preparing scope documentation, coordinating with internal departments for pricing and design, and initiating job creation in SquareCoil. The role requires a deep understanding of signage types (monument, pylon, wall-mounted, EMC, channel letters, routed copy, vinyl), fabrication timelines, installation logistics, and regulatory constraints. The Sales Representative serves as the client's primary point of contact from initial inquiry through project handout to production. Duties Respond to inbound inquiries via phone, email, and web forms Conduct outbound prospecting to targeted commercial, municipal, and retail clients Schedule and conduct discovery calls to assess project scope, budget, and timeline Request and review site photos, measurements, and zoning details Determine sign type suitability based on client goals and site conditions Document all lead activity in CRM and SquareCoil Site Assessment & Scope Development Coordinate with client to schedule site visits when necessary Capture detailed notes on visibility, mounting surfaces, electrical access, and traffic flow Identify potential permitting or zoning challenges Collect branding assets, logo files, and design preferences Create a comprehensive intake form and upload to SquareCoil Relationship Management Maintain regular communication with client throughout design and permitting phases Provide updates on project status, estimated delivery, and installation scheduling Resolve client concerns and escalate issues to Director of Operations when needed Ensure client satisfaction and prepare for future project opportunities Required Skills & Experience Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience in signage, construction, or manufacturing Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and technical scopes Strong understanding of signage types, materials, and installation methods Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in CRM systems and SquareCoil (or similar ERP platforms) Ability to read site plans, zoning maps, and basic technical drawings Preferred Qualifications Experience with permitting processes and municipal code research Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator or CAD software for reviewing mockups Background in project management or client services Reporting Structure Reports directly to Director of Operations Collaborates daily with Estimator, Design, Permitting, and Engineering teams Escalates client issues or scope changes to Director of Operations Pay: Up to $200,000.00 per year Benefits: * Dental insurance * Flexible schedule * Health insurance * Travel reimbursement * Vision insurance People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
