Sales Engineer Overview: This position is responsible for building general contractor and owner direct customer relationships and pursuing new project opportunities. Key Responsibilities: * Manage customer quote requests and develop relationships * Determines bidding priorities, understands capture rates and margin opportunities * Ability to determine the most economical way to provide customer with code compliant and economical service * Accuracy of estimate: * Quoting per project specifications, including: special equipment/material, subcontractor needs and rental pricing * Accuracy of proposal: * Matching bid document requirements, proposal is clear and concise with no grammatical errors or contradictions and complete with all appropriate information * Prepared and organized for bid reviews with department head * Completes job award paperwork accurately and timely and is prepared for turnover meeting with operations * Support operations with pricing or conflict resolution on projects sold * Clearly define the scope of work, conditions, expectations, opportunities, terms of payment, etc. when turning sold projects over to operations Important Skills: Direct communicator, with the ability to multi-task and problem solve. Ability to work with different personalities and communicate effectively with customers and employees. Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to work in Windows based programs.
