Full description of the position

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for aerospace and electronic component manufacturing projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. The Estimator will collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure competitive and profitable bids. Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs for aerospace, military, semiconductor, medical, and industrial industry sector components. Receive, download and submit Request for Quotations (RFQ) from customer portals and review all accompanying documents and engineering data packages Prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, and overhead for manufacturing projects. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and lead times. Develop and maintain pricing models and historical cost data. Perform contract reviews of purchase orders from customers. Collaborate with quality and production teams to validate feasibility and cost assumptions. Makes recommendations to improve the manufacturing process, and when appropriate supports LEAN Manufacturing activities Qualifications: Experience: 5+ years in estimating within component OEM manufacturing. Strong understanding of metal finishing manufacturing processes (clean, mask, coat, testing). Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as drawings, blueprints, production schedules, contractual agreements, Requests for Quotation or Requests for Proposal, as well as various customer documents relating to the same Familiarity with industry and military finishing specifications and quality standards. *Knowledge, Skills, abilities - Proficient in MS Excel and ERP/MRP systems. We use ProfitFab. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
