We are looking for a Sales & Estimator who can strengthen our reputation for responsiveness, transparency, and quality work. Role Overview The Sales & Estimator role is responsible for turning inbound leads and inspection opportunities into clear, accurate, and timely estimates. This person serves as the first impression of Off Leash Construction for homeowners, investors, and property managers. You will meet with clients, evaluate projects, scope the work, and build detailed estimates that help set each job up for success. You will work closely with the back office, project managers, and field teams to ensure that estimates are aligned with real-world timelines, cost structures, and customer expectations. Primary Responsibilities: Sales & Client Interaction * Serve as the initial point of contact for new and existing clients. * Conduct site visits to understand client goals, existing conditions, and project constraints. * Build rapport with homeowners, investors, and property managers to create trust and credibility. * Communicate Off Leash Construction's process clearly and confidently. Estimating & Scoping * Build accurate estimates using our pricing systems, templates, and the Off Leash price book. * Create scopes of work that are clear, detailed, and well-organized for both clients and field teams. * Evaluate inspection reports, photos, and client notes to generate required scopes. * Break out estimates by line item and prioritize transparency in pricing. * Identify missing information, ask clarifying questions, and adjust scopes accordingly. Collaboration & Handoff * Work closely with project managers to ensure estimates translate into realistic timelines and resource plans. * Collaborate with the back office on scheduling, client communication, and proactive updates. * Support smooth handoff from "estimate" to "project start" with clean documentation and expectations. Quality & Process Improvement * Track estimate accuracy and help close the loop with PMs to improve future estimates. * Offer recommendations for improving templates, processes, and client communication. * Stay updated on material pricing, subcontractor rates, and industry trends. Requirements * Experience in residential construction, estimating, or related trade work. * Strong understanding of scopes of work, materials, and sequencing. * Ability to read inspection reports, photos, and architectural details. * Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). * Strong attention to detail; highly organized. * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. * Tech-savvy and able to learn software like Housecall Pro, Buildertrend, Notion, and basic spreadsheets. * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits.
