SUMMARY Serve as an on-site Sales Associate in a fast-paced work environment and build lifetime relationships with our customers. Assist the Branch Team, Quote Team, and Business Development to drive sales through the branch and company by developing customer quotes and orders and following up on all communication. Manage and grow customer accounts by increasing customer touchpoints, properly documenting customer contacts, and following the MNI Direct Way. * Primary Responsibilities * Serve customers with their questions and needs, either in person, via the phone or through online ordering * Be a Team Player by cultivating and managing lifetime relationships with internal and external customers * Own the sales process and verify inventory for sales orders for customer pick up or delivery * Be proactive and Work until the job is done right on all customer opportunities to grow sales with current and potential customers * Work with Business Development to drive sales through the branch and provide solutions to customers by developing customer quotes and orders and following up on all communication. * Perform all duties in accordance with the MNI Direct company policies as they pertain to Sales and Quoting Processes. * Submit all qualified quotes to the Quoting Team on a timely basis and communicate and follow up with the customers on submitted quotes. * Perform other duties as required and serve as a resource for the MNI Direct team. Required Skills, Knowledge & Training * EDUCATION: * High School diploma or secondary diploma or equivalent preferred. * Green industry experience or knowledge of horticulture, landscape, and/or nursery a plus SKILLS AND TRAINING: * Proficient in Microsoft Office * Expert customer service skills * Ability to operate the customer ordering and inventory system. * Ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers. * Ability and desire to learn plant names, characteristics, and sources. * Possess and maintain a valid, clean state Driver's License. Physical Requirements * Prolonged sitting and standing * Ability to lift 20-50 lbs. * Ability to work a flexible schedule (M-F) * Ability to work in all weather conditions. * Work until the job is done right.
