Full description of the position

Relationship Development Manager / Sales Manager - Amazing Human Austin & Surrounding Areas A Career Role for Hospitality-Driven Professionals Too many companies seek talented people, then place them in roles without purpose, clarity, or standards. That's not us. We are a growing, culture-driven food and wine distribution company built on long-term relationships and trust. Our culture is rooted in a simple but serious promise: to build lasting partnerships by doing what we say we will do and doing it well - and we know that requires people who take service seriously, hold themselves to high standards, and want their work to matter. This is not a job for everyone. It is a career opportunity for the right human. Who This Role Is Truly For This role is for you if: * You truly love to serve people. Not perform service, not tolerate service, but find real fulfillment in helping others succeed. * You have a deep passion for hospitality , food, and human connection, and you understand that great service starts with respect, professionalism, and good manners in every interaction. * You know what you want in your life and career. You are intentional about your next step and see this role as a long-term career move , not a temporary change or an escape from your current situation. * You are comfortable working within a culture of high standards, clear expectations, and strict goals. And you take pride in being held accountable because excellence matters to you. * You value integrity and hard work , and you expect those same values from the people you work with. You understand that alignment matters. Not just in what you do, but in how you do it - and you want to be part of a company whose values genuinely reflect your own. *You understand your purpose and passion and know that serving others, building trust, and creating meaningful relationships is central to who you are. If that resonates deeply, this role may be a strong fit. This Role Is NOT for You If: * You are simply looking to get out of your current job * You prefer loosely defined expectations or minimal structure * You enjoy food and people but do not thrive under performance goals * You are uncomfortable with accountability, feedback, or measurable results We care deeply about our culture, our customers, and our team - and we are intentional about protecting all three. The Role The Relationship Development Manager (RDM) is responsible for growing existing customer relationships and developing new business within the Austin and surrounding markets. This role blends relationship-driven sales, hospitality excellence, and disciplined execution. You will represent our diverse food and wine portfolio with confidence, integrity, and care, while working closely with purchasing, operations, and service teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers. This position is based out of our Schertz, TX headquarters , with frequent travel to the Austin market. What You 'll Do * Build, maintain, and grow long-term customer relationships * Develop new business through intentional outreach and market engagement * Take and manage customer orders, requests, and follow-ups * Analyze markets, plan territory activity, and execute against sales goals * Create and deliver effective sales presentations * Conduct food and wine tastings, trainings, and menu support * Collaborate with customers on menu development and product placement * Maintain accurate reporting, documentation, and communication * Proactively address customer issues within company guidelines * Communicate service or operational challenges to leadership What We 're Looking For Experience & Skills * Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school required * 3+ years in hospitality, food service, restaurant operations, or sales (management or leadership experience strongly preferred) * Strong food product knowledge, paired with a genuine passion for learning, educating yourself, and continuously deepening your understanding of food, wine, and the products you represent * Basic business understanding and business math to include ability to calculate profit / loss, discounts / markups * Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and confidently. Excellent customer service skills * Comfort with sales goals, metrics, and performance expectations * Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations * Strong time management, organization, and follow-through * Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Personal Attributes * Service-oriented, disciplined, and self-motivated * Positive, grounded, and professional demeanor * Coachable, open to feedback, and growth-minded * Able to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally * Must be at least 21 years of age * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and travel up to 75% (including some weekends) * Valid driver's license * Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Who We Are We are Food Related - a food and wine distribution company built on culture, trust, and relationships.
