Full description of the position
Bilingual Mandarin/Cantonese * Duration: Asap thru March 31, 2026 * Type: Full Time Temporary * Schedule: Total 40 hours per week, 8:30am - 5:30pm (1-hour lunch break). Typical schedule may be Monday-Friday, but candidates must also be available Saturdays. * Location: Fully onsite Job Summary The Community Center Associate will be based at one or more Medicare Community Centers and will provide customer service to members and seniors in the community. This associate will represent the organization in the community and will develop and maintain a positive reputation. The position will be customer-facing with sales responsibilities. The representative will be motivated by the mission of delivering culturally sensitive health care solutions to seniors in the community. Schedule: 40 hours per week. Must be open to working some Saturdays. Functions & Job Responsibilities * Provide excellent customer service for the Community Center(s). * Provide in-language support for members regarding their benefits and accessing care. * Act as a Medicare Advisor with in-language support to community members with questions about their Medicare options. * Schedule and coordinate health and wellness events held at the community centers, including logistics and planning. * Communicate and coordinate general building repairs with the Facilities Manager/Department. * Maintain proper inventory of equipment, supplies, and promotional/marketing items. * Track and monitor traffic flow and utilization of services. * Perform routine inspections to ensure equipment is working properly for quality assurance purposes. * Manage the use of space to host classes, activities, and trainings while ensuring safety and cleanliness. * Identify and develop programs and activities that bring value and interest to the center by working closely with internal teams. * Identify and participate in member and community events, including events with sales booths, sponsorships of festivals, holidays, and community services. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience * Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience * Minimum of one (1) year of experience in marketing preferred * Experience working in health care, non-profit organizations, or senior community preferred * Event planning or coordination experience is a plus * Experience working with an ethnically diverse population * Active California Life and Health Insurance License is required or must be obtained within 2 months of hire Skills * Bilingual in Mandarin or Cantonese at a business level (reading, speaking, and writing) * Excellent customer service skills; experience serving the senior population is a plus * Ability to present to small and large groups * Desire to help seniors improve access to and understanding of their healthcare options * Strong attention to detail and positive attitude when planning event details and aspects * Reliable, present, and dedicated * Strong organizational skills Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected Veterans The Know Your Rights poster is available here: [please apply online] The pay transparency policy is available here: [please apply online] transp%20EnglishformattedESQA508c.pdf For temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, the Company is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.
