GENERAL SUMMARY: The APAV Solutions Integration Division specializes in the design, build, and installation of performance audio, video, lighting, and control systems, primarily serving churches, theaters, corporate meeting spaces, and hospitality venues. The AV Integration Sales Engineer is responsible for meeting APAV Solutions' sales targets, maintaining outstanding relationships with our existing clients, growing our customer base, and developing innovative AV Solutions for our customers, all while modeling our company's mission, vision, and values for our clients and team members. Day-to-day responsibilities include conceiving, planning, and executing inbound and outbound sales strategies to meet sales goals as established by executive leadership. The key to success for this position is a continuous drive to develop new business, grow our customer base, and increase sales volume. This involves creating innovative, custom solutions based on our customers' needs and maintaining excellent customer relationships with both existing and new clients. The AV Integration Sales Engineer actively participates in providing outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility for maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: * Proven outstanding sales skills * Excellent interpersonal skills to deliver personalized solutions and customer service * Must be able to design and specify complex AVL solutions based on customer needs * Strong organizational skills * Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt technical terminology for non-technical customers * Working knowledge of AV design tools, such as Vectorworks, EASE, and Stardraw * Must be responsible, self-motivated, and a self-starter to meet sales objectives * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills * Effective computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams * Working knowledge of digital CRM and sales tools, such as HubSpot * Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement sales strategies and technical solutions to advance projects and meet deadlines * Deep knowledge of integrated audio-visual technology, current products, and installation techniques * Understanding of worship production, theatrical sound and lighting, and corporate presentation workflows * Must be able to handle stressful situations * Ability to deal with ambiguity and respond quickly to changing business conditions * Proven sense of fiscal responsibility * Must be able to research and design custom technical solutions based on customer needs * Proven sales negotiation skills * Comfortable with faith-based clients, including work in churches EDUCATION REQUIRED: * High School Diploma or GED EDUCATION PREFERRED: * Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: * Five years of progressive sales experience * Experience designing and selling systems for houses of worship, theaters, hospitality and corporate meeting spaces EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: * Eight years of relevant, progressive sales experience LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: * CTS * Class E driver license LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED: * CTS-D PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Demonstrates, through behavior, APAV Solutions' core values and exemplifies the company's mission and vision for team members, customers, and the community at large. * Prospect and develop new clients through networking, referrals, and outbound outreach to meet established sales goals * Maintain outstanding customer relations with all existing and new customers * Provide custom AV solutions to new and existing customers to meet their business needs * Communicate with customers, prospective customers, and team members in a timely, effective, and efficient manner * Conduct site visits to assess existing infrastructure, acoustics, sightlines, and client workflows * Lead client discovery meetings to define use cases and translates them into technical system requirements * Write and deliver technical proposals for customers * Negotiate sales contracts to maximize sales volume, revenue, and profit * Manage sales pipeline effectively, maintaining a minimum level of weekly prospecting activity to ensure a healthy pipeline * Maintain CRM with up-to-date pipeline stages, activities, and forecast dates to support accurate sales forecasts * Track sales metrics and provide regular updates to management * Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the entire sales and installation process * Produce estimates and invoices as needed * Confidently give sales presentations to prospective new customers * Track the competitive landscape and give input on pricing structure * Maintain deep, current knowledge of integrated AV solutions * Must be able to travel as needed. While our primary sales territory is Florida, we want to actively expand our territory into the greater southwestern United States and beyond * Actively seek out training and learning opportunities Compensation is commission-based and commensurate with skill and experience.
