Position Summary As a Wireless Sales Associate in Durham, NC , you'll be the in-store expert who greets customers, understands their needs, and connects them to the right phones, plans, and accessories. You will communicate fluently in English and Spanish , explain promotions and financing ( "Pay Later") clearly, complete accurate transactions, and help set up new devices. Top performers earn strong commissions and can grow into leadership roles. Key Responsibilities * Customer Experience: Greet every customer warmly and create a friendly, professional atmosphere. * Needs Discovery: Identify usage, budget, and preferences to recommend the right device, plan, and accessories. * Education & Sales: Clearly explain features, plan details, pricing, promotions, and financing options; guide customers to the best choice. * Goal Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed personal and team targets (new activations, upgrades, accessory add-ons, protection, etc.). * Transaction Accuracy: Process sales, activations, upgrades, and account changes correctly in the POS and related systems. * Device Support: Set up devices (SIM/eSIM), transfer data, assist with app sign-ins and Bluetooth pairing, and resolve basic issues. * Service & Returns: Handle questions, exchanges, and returns promptly and professionally. * Store Standards: Maintain visual merchandising, keep the store clean and organized, and assist with inventory receiving and cycle counts. * Continuous Learning: Stay current on Boost Mobile products, services, and promotions through ongoing training. Transactions & Device Support * Process accurately in POS: activations, upgrades, port-ins, add-a-lines, trade-ins, exchanges/returns per policy. * Set up devices (SIM/eSIM activation, data transfer, Bluetooth pairing, app sign-in); handle basic troubleshooting. * Document customer interactions and account changes correctly. Store Operations & Merchandising * Open/close using checklists (alarm, lights/loop/Wi-Fi, demo readiness, floor presentation). * Maintain cash integrity : accurate ringing, ID checks, policy-compliant refunds/exchanges, dual counts at open/close, deposit prep, immediate variance reporting. * Receive and secure inventory ; tag high-value items; keep price tags and promo signage current ; front-face/replenish accessories; support cycle counts and loss prevention. * Keep sales floor and stockroom clean, safe, and organized. Compliance, Safety & Teamwork * Protect customer data (PII) and follow all company/carrier policies. * Follow safety procedures (ladders, lifting, electrical) and report incidents promptly. * Participate in daily huddles ; apply coaching and product updates; support teammates. Qualifications * Retail sales or customer service experience strongly preferred. * Wireless/technology background is a plus (not required--we train). * Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. * Genuine interest in smartphones, tablets, and apps; able to explain tech clearly and patiently. * Goal-oriented problem solver with a customer-first mindset; comfortable in a fast-paced, target-driven setting. * Proficient with computers and POS systems. * Flexible availability , including evenings, weekends, and holidays. * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Able to stand for extended periods and perform light stocking. * Bilingual English & Spanish -- Required (Se requiere ingl es y espaol). Preferred * Experience with activations, financing/ "Pay Later," and POS systems. * Prior cash-handling (drawer balancing, deposits) and merchandising experience.
