Job Description Chinook is a Veteran-Owned and Minority-Owned Small Business that provides custom medical solutions for the harshest environments. Since 1990, Chinook Medical Gear has specialized in outfitting government agencies, military units, contractors, corporations, adventure companies, and individuals with the latest medical gear. Our diverse line of products includes military and law enforcement medical kits to home, travel, and public access medical kits. We also produce a wide range of procedure specific medical modules. Chinook's staff consists of industry experts who specialize in designing trusted solutions for any emergency medical need. Job Summary: The Account Manager will be directly responsible for increasing sales within Federal Government (FGO) agencies. Federal agencies include, but are not limited to agencies under the Department of Homeland Security, Health and Human Services, Department of State, Veterans Affairs, and others but does not include DOD. In addition to the above primary markets, this position will also support other markets from time to time. This position requires travel for specific sales calls to targeted entities (customers and prospects) and attending relevant tradeshows and conferences. Understanding of the organizational structure, projects in process, and procurement methods of the Federal Government is preferred. The Account Manager will work directly with the Director of Sales to obtain these goals. Assigned Duties and Responsibilities: * Maintain consistent contact with defined customer base. * Prospect for new entities (including calling, emailing, marketing and visiting). * Promote sale and education of all Chinook products to assigned markets. * Administer (business-to-business) sales and quotes to assigned markets. * Travel to key accounts and attend industry tradeshows (approx. 24 times per year). * Actively search for new and appropriate tradeshows, marketing awareness, and or training events. * Assure all logistics and awareness/lead opportunities for tradeshows in your market are expedited (registration, hotel, shipping, packing, visits, giveaways, marketing, promotions, etc.). * Actively follow up with customers on price quotes, orders, trade shows, visits, etc. * Networking with contacts to obtain new sales leads while growing current base. * Work with Contracting Department to scout out new procurement opportunities within your market. * Maintain current knowledge of industry standards and practices. * Provide information and contacts on new products, ideas, and trends to the Product Development Team as needed. * Assist and/or back up other Sales & Marketing responsibilities as needed. * Maintain good working notes in CRM/Sales funnel. * Attend Sales & Training meetings as scheduled. * Other projects and or duties assigned by the Director of Sales * Position Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent sales experience. * Positive attitude with a strong work ethic A MUST. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision yet function well with a team.
