Job Summary We are looking for a motivated and results-oriented Marketing Sales Professional to join our dynamic team. This person will play a vital role in raising awareness and understanding of hospice care among referral sources by clearly communicating the unique value and compassionate services provided by Midwest Hospice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building strong community relationships, educating healthcare providers and potential partners, and supporting timely and appropriate patient referrals. Mileage reimbursement and performance-based bonuses are available. Responsibilities : Serves as an education liaison to ensure that patient profiling includes what a "hospice appropriate patient" looks like in the community. Deliver public presentations and confidently answer questions about hospice care, services, and benefits. Maintain a strong understanding of hospice regulations, eligibility criteria, and program guidelines to ensure accurate and compliant communication. Assist clinical staff in transferring patients to hospice care. Communicate professionally with staff, IDT, and the community. Participates in company events and sponsored functions. Demonstrates understanding of hospice billing and Medicare Part A and follows the Midwest Hospice compliance plan. Utilizes strategic geographical placement of territory to maximize time, resources, and effectiveness in the field. Contributes to the development of the agency's Performance Improvement Program and educational materials as needed. Provides ongoing hospice and palliative care education through in-services and Community Education Units (CEUs), establishing credibility and becoming a trusted advisor within the community. Offers guidance and support to the Volunteer Coordinator to enhance the quality and effectiveness of volunteer services through continuous improvement efforts. Interpret operational indicators to detect census changes and volume fluctuations that could impact revenue or expenses. Evaluate the Volunteer Coordinator's annual performance, or more often as necessary. Exhibits knowledge of Medicare hospice benefits, patients' rights, advanced directives, available Midwest Hospice services, patient participation requirements for end-of-life care, and resources accessible to patients and families at the end of life.
