Job Summary Raineri Building Material is looking for someone that can cover the sales counters in the following locations - St. Louis, Eureka, Columbia, IL, Belleville, Il, & East St. Louis. This is a floating position. This position will be both part-time & full-time. There will be points where you will be needed for a full 40+ hour week & there will be times that you will only be needed for 10-30 hours a week. Duties * Greet customers warmly and identify their needs through active listening and engaging conversation * Provide detailed product information on building materials, including specifications, uses, and benefits * Assist customers in selecting appropriate products for their projects, offering creative solutions and alternatives * Demonstrate excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive shopping experience * Maintain organized displays of building materials, ensuring shelves are stocked and products are easy to find * Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system while handling cash, credit cards, or digital payments * Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and improve overall store performance * Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and technical knowledge to better serve customers * Support inventory management activities such as stock replenishment and cycle counts to ensure product availability Requirements * Proven experience in customer service or retail sales, preferably within landscape building materials or related industries * Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical details clearly and confidently * Enthusiastic attitude with a proactive approach to engaging customers and driving sales opportunities * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment * Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing inventory records * Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings as needed * Knowledge of building materials or construction terminology is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate Join us as a Building Materials Sales Associate where your energy fuels customer success!
