The Strategic Relationships Director will drive growth by cultivating long- term client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and guiding customers through a thoughtful, consultative sales process. This role works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure every interaction reflects Paragon Safety's commitment to integrity, professionalism, and care.
What You'll Do
(How You'll Make an Impact Together) Business Development & Sales
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities through research of industries, business sectors, competitors, decision-makers, and existing customers.
- Generate leads, thoughtfully qualify opportunities, advance the sales process, and close new business in a way that builds lasting trust.
- Handle inbound and outbound prospect communications via phone and email.
- Convert unsolicited inbound inquiries into qualified sales opportunities.
- Clearly communicate Paragon Safety's full suite of services, pricing, and payment terms.
- Assist in the preparation of sales proposals and presentations. Client Relationship Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to uncover additional sales opportunities.
- Respond to customer questions, concerns, and needs with care, clarity, and timely follow-through.
- Visit customer offices and project sites to support relationship-building and sales activities. Collaboration & Marketing Support
- Collaborate with sales team members and internal stakeholders to develop coordinated sales approaches.
- Partner with Marketing to develop and support initiatives that expand business reach regionally and nationally.
- Follow up on marketing campaigns (email campaigns, promotions, mailers) to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Organize and support trade show and industry event participation. Process, Systems & Market Awareness
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Ensure warm lead information is properly documented and shared with appropriate sales contacts.
- Stay current on trends, regulations, and changes within the safety and construction industries.
- Continuously enhance professional, sales, and technical skills to improve customer experience and sales performance.
Compensation
& Opportunity
- Base Salary: $85,000
- Commission: Expected $10,000 - $30,000 annually
What You Bring
(Experience That Helps You Succeed)
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a client relationship, sales, or business development role.
- Demonstrated experience in sales prospecting and appointment setting.
- Working knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques. What Sets You Apart (Not Required - But Valued)
- Experience generating new business and managing an assigned customer base.
- Experience supporting companies in fast-paced or dynamic industries.
- Background in safety, construction, or related industries is a plus. Skills & Strengths That Matter
