Crane Consumables, a local, family-owned manufacturer of bar code, pricing and packaging labels, is looking to expand our sales team. Our sales team is known for building strong relationships with our distribution channel partners. Excellent customer service and willingness to solve our customer problems has been a key component to the Company's success. A successful Business Development Representative will source leads and drive new business while developing and managing current customer relationships. To accomplish this, the individual needs to not only be great at sales and relationships, but also have a curiosity to become experts in the label industry and our customers' needs. Job Responsibilities * Creates and grows a healthy sales pipeline of qualified leads through cold outreach, networking, social selling and industry research. * Builds relationships with customers to maintain current accounts and acquire new business. Creates a compelling value proposition tailored to each customer's need. * Gathers pricing and delivery information and prepares quotes in a timely manner. Follows up with customers to obtain business or determine why quote was not accepted. * Collaborates with various departments including production, shipping, quality and customer service to ensure that orders are fulfilled to customer specifications. * Reviews information related to customer behavior, sales performance, product pricing and industry trends. Makes recommendations related to product and customer development. * Provides excellent customer service. Works with customers to resolve product, quality and/or shipping issues. Proactively communicates information as needed. Qualifications * 2-4 years experience selling products in the barcode label or paper-converting industry. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to convert analysis into actionable plans. * Outstanding negotiation skills. * Demonstrative proficiency with Excel and Google Docs software. * Less than 10% travel to customer sites.
