Sani-Matic Job Description Title: Customer Support Specialist (Sales) Position Summary: Work with the inside sales team to help distributors, manufacturers' representatives, end-users and internal departments to support and supply best-of-class sanitary process cleaning solutions. This position reports to the Inside Sales / Customer Support Manager and is a key member of the Sales team. Essential Functions: * Enter orders into ERP system (TCM) and monitor order progress, including stock and custom components, new systems and change orders to existing systems. * Address, directly with customers, requests for order information, including shipment tracking, expected delivery, and return goods authorizations (RGA). * Diagnose issues with incoming purchase orders or part/model numbers prior to order entry. * Collaborate with inside and outside sales teams to verify customer requirements on sales orders to streamline communication with engineering or fabrication. * Provide order updates and revisions for existing orders, directly with customers, based on information provided during daily production meetings. * Create and maintain departmental reports, used by the inside sales team to determine parts availability, orders that are on hold, drop-ship customer orders, etc. * Work with the shipping department to address expediting requests, follow-up on drop ship orders, and help resolve shipping issues. * Monitor CRM platform (Salesforce) for incoming purchase orders and prescreening incoming cases. * Work with other departments to help set up new customers, getting credit card information and resolving past due invoices. * Maintain and organize inside sales departmental tools, sales materials, and documents. * Assist the inside sales team with other administrative duties that arise. * Complete all other duties as assigned by the Lead/Manager. Knowledge / Skills / Expertise * Completion of a Secondary education degree is desired. * Minimum 3 years of related technical sales and/or mechanical management experience is preferred. * Must have previous experience working in customer service or working with customers. * Able to prioritize without supervision and lead initiatives to achieve a common goal. * Ability to understand and work toward profitability goals. * Knowledge of product costs, materials, labor and overhead. * An excellent listener able to pose pertinent questions and provide creative solutions. * Enjoys solving technical problems and maintains a "customer-centric" service attitude. * Enjoys developing long-term customer relationships. * Skilled in the use of computers, with a high comfort level in technical and engineering-oriented environments is a must. * Highly organized, motivated and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure. * Professional English knowledge in speaking, reading and writing. * Upbeat and ethical individual with a sense of urgency, responsibility and persistence. * Above average typing, spelling and grammar skills. * Proficient with MS office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, [please apply online] laptop, etc. Environmental Conditions: * Mainly office setting * Humidity level may be elevated during summer months in the manufacturing areas. * Exposure to certain contaminants, at times, if working in the manufacturing areas. * Exposure to loud noise levels, at times. Physical Demands: * While performing the duties of the job, the employee must be able to use a keyboard, calculator and telephone. They are regularly required to stand or walk, sit, talk, hear, and use hands to finger, grasp, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift (up to 10lbs) and have the ability to adjust vision for close vision work.
