Full description of the position

Job Purpose

Ensure that adequate resources and capability to include people and processes reside within the business to deliver on financial and non-financial targets. Will manage business relationships with customers/accounts to include current customers and new prospects with focus on strategic customers. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and execute Account/Customer plans aligned with Regional/Global Segment and Marketing plan, if applicable.
  • Develop relevant Commercial pipeline for respective accounts.
  • Deliver the agreed financial and non-financial targets in line with business budgets.
  • Drive innovation through customers.
  • Develop and maintain contact map within each account at all reporting level and across all functions.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement across the organization to generate value to customers Forecast, Service, Capability, Efficiency and Productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including relevant teams at the key accounts to prioritize new developments, make plans for trials, etc.
  • Provide support and leadership to sales, customer services and technical teams by showing vision, putting in resources to ensure high service levels and operational efficiency.
  • Steward new business development projects opposite account requirements.
  • Independently prepare sales presentations, contracts and proposals to ensure successful outcome of transactions.
  • Manage negotiations to mitigate claims.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management or related field.
  • 5 years experience in commercial roles, sales and key account management, or sales to strategic accounts in powder coatings, pre-treatment chemicals, coating equipment, or related business-to-business industry.
  • Must possess commercial and business acumen as well as an understanding of cross functional processes and financial concepts related to sales and cost to serve.
  • Effective problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to drive results.
  • Effective project management skills. Must be able to manage stakeholders.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to create value propositions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  •  Ability to travel 15%. Overnight travel may be required.

Position Base Location and Territory

  • Base Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma or Wichita, Kansas
  • Territory: Tulsa, Oklahoma and Kansas City, Kansas

The salary range for these skills is $95,000.00 - $112,000.00 based upon experience. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.

This position is eligible for a vehicle allowance and mileage reimbursement.
