Full description of the position

The Business Development Manager is responsible for building and maintaining the customer pipeline, supporting Regional Managers prospecting for existing and new clients, and helping manage several Key Accounts. Essential Functions: * Generate New Business opportunities - Identify and qualify new business opportunities with Existing and Net New Clients (e.g. get XKIG on new bid lists) * Create and execute Regional Sales Prospecting, Territory, and Key Account plans * Lead Bi-Weekly Regional Sales Meetings (review pipeline, prospecting activities, and marketing events, etc) * Generate and maintain weekly and monthly reporting for Key Accounts. * Facilitate and maintain successful relationships with customers * Participate with Monthly and Quarterly meetings with key clients * Prepare quarterly Customer Scorecards * Assist Regional Managers with annual contract renewals * Follow up with existing contacts (customers and non-customers) to ensure XKIG is still on bid lists General Business Development activities * * Represent XKIG at trade shows and conferences * Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual (internal) Management Reports * Track prospecting activities and opportunities in CRM * Monitor Bid Boards for potential bidding opportunities. * Work with Contracts Department to ensure rate increases and renewal bids are submitted as required. * Other projects and functions as assigned by the Director, Business Development Competencies: * Sales, marketing and business development acumen. * Excellent analytic, communication, writing, and presentation skills. * Able to communicate easily and clearly with potential customers, field managers, supervisors, and senior executives. Education and Experience: * Five or more years of business development or marketing experience. * Fluent use of Microsoft Office products and a variety of CRM tools. * Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, or other Business Intelligence tools desired * Bachelor's degree in business management or marketing. A combination of equivalent education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
