Position Overview: As a Flooring Sales & Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support both our in-home services and warehouse operations. Your primary duties will include conducting in-home estimates and measurements, assisting customers, providing sales support, handling warehouse operations (including forklift use), and ensuring the timely unloading of deliveries. You'll be the key point of contact for customers, helping them choose the right products and ensuring smooth operations from the warehouse to their homes. Key Responsibilities: * In-Home Estimates & Measurements: * Schedule and conduct in-home visits to measure spaces and provide product recommendations. * Accurately measure floors, ensuring all details are recorded for correct product ordering and installation. * Provide customers with detailed product information, pricing, and timeline expectations. * Sales: * Assist customers in selecting flooring materials that meet their needs, preferences, and budget. * Process sales transactions and create quotes. * Promote sales and special offers to meet company goals. * Customer Service: * Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any questions or concerns via phone, email, or in-person. * Maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business. * Help resolve any issues related to product delivery or installation. * Warehouse Duties: * Organize, clean, and maintain the warehouse and stock areas. * Receive and inspect deliveries, ensuring the correct products and quantities are received. * Assist with the inventory management and restocking of products as necessary. * Forklift Operation: * Safely operate a forklift to move, load, and unload inventory in the warehouse. * Ensure all safety protocols are followed while handling materials and products. * Truck Unloading & Delivery Support: * Assist in unloading shipments from delivery trucks and ensure products are stored correctly. * Help prepare products for delivery or customer pickup. * Phone Calls & Communication: * Answer incoming calls and assist with inquiries, schedule estimates, and provide product recommendations. * Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction. Qualifications: * Experience: * Previous experience in sales, customer service, or warehouse operations preferred. * Familiarity with flooring products or construction materials is a plus. * Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) is preferred. * Skills & Abilities: * Strong communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. * Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. * Basic math skills to calculate measurements and pricing. * Comfortable with technology, including using computers and software for scheduling and order tracking. * Physical Requirements: * Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks as needed. * Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently. * Ability to work in various environmental conditions (inside/outside, warehouse, etc.).
