Overview Our Advanced Functional Materials Team is seeking a dynamic and results- oriented Sales Manager to drive sales and build strong relationships within the Thermal Spray and Advanced Ceramic Materials segment in North America. You will be at the forefront of advanced functional materials and make a major impact by leading business development and promoting state-of-the-art solutions, particularly in the market for thermal spray materials. The position offers a broad range of account-management responsibilities and the responsibility to drive technical sales. Responsibilities * Drive sales and business-development activities, leading to the achievement of design-win and revenue targets with customers and OEM partners in the US. * Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key decision makers at our customers. * Identify new market opportunities, quantify business potential, time frames, commercial and technical requirements. * Collect and maintain all relevant information on markets, product applications, and competitor activities. * Collaborate with Product management to develop strategies for market penetration and revenue growth * Develop and implement detailed strategies for individual accounts. * Work closely with Sales Administration personnel, R&D, application & quality management * Ensure excellent customer satisfaction, pro-actively address customer issues and foster long-term partnerships * Analyze customer requirements and develop customized solutions that align with their business objectives. * Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to effectively position our products. * Preparation and following up of quotations submitted to customers. * Manage customer and partner accounts and business reporting. * Provide forecasts, budgets and management reports. * Identify commercial and technical requirements to drive targeted sales strategies. Qualifications : * Education Preferred: Technical Discipline BSc Degree (or higher) in Materials, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics. * Business experience in product development, dealing directly with customers and technical personnel at customer sites, trade shows and virtual meetings. * Ability to navigate complex situations within the OEM landscape and distribution. * Highly motivated to achieve sales targets, results-oriented, and strong business acumen. * Willingness to travel throughout North America and Austria, as needed. * Excellent customer support and multi-tasked product management. * Ability to create and develop new business opportunities. * Strong interpersonal skills, action-oriented, and excellent communication skills related to technical concepts Job Type: Full-time Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) 3% Match * 401(k) matching * Cell phone reimbursement * Dental insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Compensation Package: * Bonus opportunities Schedule: * Monday to Friday Ability to Commute: * Minneapolis, MN 55439 (Required) Ability to Relocate: * Minneapolis, MN 55439: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
