Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting with their shopping needs. This position involves working in a dynamic retail environment, where you will engage with customers, manage transactions, and maintain the overall presentation of the store. Duties * Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. * Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. * Process sales through the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently. * Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product information to effectively sell items to customers. * Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure a well-presented shopping environment. * Assist in supervising junior staff members when needed, providing guidance and support. * Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints with professionalism and courtesy. * Uphold store standards for cleanliness and organization throughout the sales floor. Skills * Proficient in cash handling and operating cash registers with accuracy. * Familiarity with POS systems and retail sales processes is highly desirable. * Strong background in grocery store operations or retail sales is a plus. * Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls or inquiries. * Ability to sell products effectively through engaging communication skills. * Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing cash flow. * Experience in supervising team members is beneficial but not required.
