Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Cashier/Sales professional to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively and engage with customers will be key in driving sales and enhancing the shopping experience. Responsibilities * Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring all sales are processed efficiently. * Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to assist customers effectively. * Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a friendly manner. * Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining an organized sales floor to ensure products are readily available for customers. * Utilize retail math skills to process transactions and provide accurate change. * Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities and enhance customer satisfaction. * Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance on best practices for customer service and sales techniques. * Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cash register area and throughout the store. Experience * Previous experience in a retail or cashier role is preferred but not required. * Strong cash handling skills with a keen attention to detail. * Familiarity with cash registers and point-of-sale systems is advantageous. * Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer interaction and phone etiquette. * Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. * A passion for sales with a willingness to learn upselling techniques to enhance customer engagement.
