Full description of the position

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Responsible for the servicing and marketing of a book of business as assigned by direct manager. * Responsible for analysis of policy forms, complex and detailed coverage comparisons, identifying exposures and making appropriate recommendations to clients and assisting clients with understanding of policy coverages. * Responsible for renewing all assigned policies to ensure they are issued on a timely basis and in accordance with prescribed workflows. This includes detailed documentation in Epic system. * Knowledge and use of platforms such as EPIC, INDIO, CSR24 and Lineslip. * Responsible for monitoring management reports in Epic including Expiration Reports and other reports as assigned by Dept Manager. * Develops and maintains relationship with assigned commercial clients, including in depth coverage analysis, presentations to clients, analyzing risks and identifying exposures. * Direct and frequent involvement and negotiations with insurance company underwriters. * Training of other staff members as well as participation in training of new employees. * Reliance on extensive experience and judgement to plan and assist in accomplishing department goals as set by department manager and senior management. Requirements: Required Skills: Strong insurance technical skills * - must have deep knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, policy forms and insurance industry marketplace. * Strong organizational skills to effectively manage book of commercial business. Strong communication skills * - directly works with all VIS Depts, Insurance carrier underwriters and larger clients. Required Experience: * High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 8 years relevant agency experience. * Insurance broker's license. * Bachelor's degree preferred. * Additional insurance designations (i.e., CPCU, CIC) also preferred.
