Butler Bros. is a family owned and operated Industrial Distributor based in Lewiston, ME. We are "full line" distributor of cutting tools, abrasives, safety, MROP, and packaging products. We are currently seeking an Outside/Technical Sales Representative in the Hartford/Burlington VT area. Your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients while for selling a wide range of industrial products and solutions to businesses in various industries, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving revenue growth. Salary is negotiable plus unlimited commissions. Primary functions of the position include but are not limited to: 1. Plan and coordinate virtual and in-person sales calls with new / existing customers and target prospective customers. 2. Conduct sales calls by telephone, virtually, and in-person applying your knowledge as an expert to create and close sales opportunities with customers and plan and execute proposals. 3. Work with management to develop a territory sales plan with actionable tasks and goals reviewed monthly. 4. Utilize CRM software to manage sales territory and record and maintain account base activity. 5. Answers questions about products, prices, and quality, durability, and credit terms. 6. Learn and utilize all available company resources including customer service / inside sales. 7. Investigates and resolves customer complaints. 8. Work with vendor representatives and business affiliates in meetings, joint sales calls, and networking. Experience & Skills Required: 1. At least 1-3 years' previous experience in outside sales or B2B sales focused on selling industrial products such as cutting tools, abrasives, packaging, MROP, and safety items is required. 2. High School Diploma required. Further education and/or technical training a plus. 3. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Calendar, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and CRM / Sales Software. 4. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and building strong client relationships. 5. Familiarity with industrial products including cutting tools, abrasives, safety, MROP, and packaging products is advantageous. 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with particular emphasis on developing and maintaining positive and professional relationships with internal and external customers. 7. Presentation skills, strong negotiation and persuasion abilities to close deals effectively. 8. Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage a territory. 9. Time management and organizational skills to manage multiple client interactions and sales activities. 10. Technical aptitude to quickly grasp and explain complex industrial products and their applications. 11. Problem-solving skills to address client challenges and provide tailored solutions. 12. Good administrative and paperwork skills to guarantee that quotes, proposals and order invoices are accurate and expedited timely. 13. Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel within the designated territory extensively.
