Overview

: Were looking for a Director of Sales Engineering to lead and grow a high- performing team supporting complex industrial equipment sales. This role blends technical expertise with real-world business acumen youll own technical strategy during the sales cycle, develop your team, and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

:

• Lead, mentor, and scale the Sales Engineering team across multiple territories.
• Partner with Sales Leadership to define go-to-market strategies, value propositions, and customer engagement plans.
• Oversee all technical aspects of the sales process application engineering, proposals, customer presentations, and RFQs.
• Ensure the team delivers technically sound, cost-effective solutions that align with customer requirements and manufacturing capabilities.
• Act as the executive escalation point for technical issues during pre-sales and initial implementation phases.
• Stay sharp on industry trends and ensure the team evolves with the market.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product Development, Manufacturing, and Marketing to feedback field intelligence.
• Roll up your sleeves when needed complex deals sometimes need executive-level engineering support.

Qualifications

:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
• 10+ years of technical sales or application engineering experience, at least 5+ years leading teams.
• Strong background in industrial equipment, manufacturing systems, automation, or capital equipment.
• Comfortable navigating C-level discussions and plant floor problem-solving.
• Proven ability to hire, coach, and build high-performing technical teams.
