Koi Smart is a pond and freshwater aquarium retail store located in West Palm Beach, FL. We are fun, customer-centric and rewarding. We are looking for a driven retail Aquatic Sales Associate to be responsible for all sales job duties. Duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products and recommend the right solutions. To be successful as a Sales associate, you should stay up-to-date with product features. Responsibilities * Assist in required daily pond, aquarium and tank maintenance * Provide a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service * Greet customers and assess needs to provide assistance and information. * Restock and front face products * Maintain the health and appearance of in store aquatic systems * Understand the nitrogen cycle and be able to explain it to customers * Understand basic aquatic husbandry requirements including: water chemistry, fish compatibility and proper pond / aquarium maintenance * Test and interpret water chemistry, and make recommendations based on those results. * Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options * Be able to accurately and efficiently operate POS (point of sale) system * Work with co-workers to ensure proper fish care and customer service Skills * Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices * Experience with Point of Sales systems * Clear communication and interpersonal skills * A energetic and friendly personality, with a customer service focus * Ability to address concerns in a timely manner with proper fish care in mind * Ability to lift 60 lbs Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $15.00 per hour Shift: * 4 hour shift * 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
