Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our smoke shop, providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting them with their shopping needs. You will be responsible for maintaining a welcoming environment, handling transactions, and ensuring that our store is well-stocked and organized. Responsibilities * Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. * Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise. * Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. * Maintain an organized and clean sales floor, restocking shelves as necessary to ensure product availability. * Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any discrepancies. * Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products to customers. * Supervise junior staff members when required, providing guidance and support in their roles. * Utilize phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries regarding store operations or product availability. * Ensure compliance with all store policies and procedures, including safety regulations. Qualifications * Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory. * Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and a passion for helping others. * Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash register operations effectively. * Experience with POS systems is advantageous; familiarity with cash registers is a plus. * Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances communication with diverse customers. * Ability to supervise team members effectively, fostering a collaborative work environment. * Excellent phone etiquette for effective communication with customers over the phone.
