Overview

The Health Plan Specialist (HPS ) is a compassionate, energetic professional passionate about serving seniors and helping them understand their healthcare options. The HPS provides guidance that results in improved access to care, financial savings, and a better quality of life for the members we serve. This field-based position requires continuous training and certification on all Medicare plans contracted through SBHIS / Insurus of AZ. Success in this role involves achieving monthly goals, building strong community relationships, and executing outreach and enrollment strategies with heart and integrity.

Responsibilities

Lead Generation

• Attend community events (health fairs, vaccination drives, food banks, etc.)
• Conduct provider visits, sales presentations, and grassroots marketing
• Make outbound calls to prospects and members using Policy Keeper
• Generate leads through direct one-on-one engagement with seniors Sales Appointments
• Conduct one-on-one sales appointments (in-person, in-office, telephonic, or in-field)
• Present plan benefits compliantly using CMS-approved checklists
• Complete applications (paper and electronic) accurately and efficiently
• Assist members in applying for federal/state assistance programs Customer Service & Retention
• Respond to all inquiries within 24 hours
• Proactively communicate with members to improve retention and generate referrals
• Maintain accurate records Training & Team Engagement
• Participate in team meetings, ride-a longs, mock presentations, and webinars
• Continuously seek to grow and improve to advance to HPS II or HPS III
• Attend all mandatory training and team events Skills &

Qualifications

• Current Life & Health Insurance License (State of Arizona)
• Must complete all certifications and testing within 30 days of employment
• One year of sales and/or customer service experience preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish or other) preferred
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
• Comfortable with using computers, data entry, and multi-tasking
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, organized, and detail-oriented
• Successful completion of background check Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
