Why Join Us? * Be part of a close-knit team where you can take ownership of projects from start to finish * Work with cutting-edge equipment and innovative technology * Opportunity to grow within a company that has been an industry leader for over 35 years * Competitive pay and benefits, including health and vision insurance, retirement plans, and more Key Responsibilities: * Lead and actively participate in design activities, including creating and maintaining precision designs and complex fixtures for machining and fabrication processes. * Work hands-on to assess customer requirements and collaborate with customers, suppliers, and the shop floor to execute designs and deliver solutions that exceed expectations. * Utilize SolidWorks CAD software to create detailed mechanical drawings, including advanced GD&T fundamentals for precision designs. * Collaborate closely with the CNC programmers using Autodesk Fusion CAM software to optimize part designs and support the manufacturing process. * Assist the estimating team by analyzing customer specifications and requirements, ensuring accurate quotes that meet margin goals. * Design part and assembly routers and create BOMs in the ERP system, ensuring that quotes and shop routers are accurate and well-organized. * Travel to customer sites as needed for on-site analysis and collaboration (day trips). * Provide hands-on engineering support, ensuring high-quality designs that align with machining, welding, and fabrication practices. * Maintain and enforce safety standards, including using appropriate PPE and adhering to lockout/tagout procedures. What We 're Looking For: * A strong background in machining and fabrication practices (milling, lathes, shearing, bending, welding, etc.). * SolidWorks CAD proficiency for creating shop drawings and fixture designs. * Expertise in GD &T and the ability to interpret and apply these standards to designs. * Experience with Autodesk Fusion CAM and providing engineering support to CNC programmers. * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, ever-changing small shop environment. * Strong time management skills and a "can-do" attitude when it comes to overcoming obstacles. * A willingness to go the extra mile by stepping out on the shop floor, or visiting suppliers and customers to perform hands-on work and analysis. * Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills to effectively interact with both internal teams and external customers. * A valid US driver's license and authorization to work in the USA. * Ability to lift, move, and work with heavy materials and equipment when necessary. Education and Experience: * Minimum of a 2-year degree in Mechanical Engineering , CAD/CAM Engineering Technology , or related field. * At least , fabrication, and fixture design.
